Day 5 - Extra Skiing activities

Good evening from once again a sunny Annaberg, Austria,
Another classic day on the slopes with many a kilometre covered by all. We thought it would be nice to reflect the evening activities showing the great fun all students are having off the slopes. Tonight we jumped on a coach and headed for the local civilisation to experience some alpine bowling which is a cross between 10 pin bowling and skittles. This presented the students with an opportunity to demonstrate their accuracy and get their hands on some pizza!!!!!
The legendary cow bell was passed onto Amelia O'Callaghan for numerous issues on the slopes!!
Last day coming up tomorrow. Everyone right up for a big final day of technique and touring. Photos tomorrow - if we get the chance to get them up with the busy end-of-day arrangements that will be going on before the disco in the evening... Saturday will be an early start - 5am!!! door knocking will be at its best to get the extremely tired students- and staff!!! on their way. Please all be kind to those returning!!!!! It has to be said that this trip has been a fantastic experience for all, due to the efforts of the students and staff present and the students have once again demonstrated that Cabot students are some of the best learners in whatever environment they are placed. It must be said that the students are a true credit to their families and represent their Academy with pride.
Bring on the last day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 4 Y11 Hosting

Day 4,

Today has been a great day on the slopes, the sun has been shining and everyone had a great day skiing and snowboarding. The morning was a little more chilly than previous days which we actually quite enjoyed because we've all been baking! For lunch we had a really tasty chicken stroganoff with vegetables and rice, people even went back for seconds. The afternoon was slightly warmer and a few eventful incidents. Elliot Harvey picked up the cow bell for a long list of mishaps, mainy for falling off (and being dragged up) the t-bar and being hit in the back of the head it as well. Today the lower intermediates took on the challenge of the BLACK slope, which Corinna was really proud of completing, she also managed to complete the 'Corinna' hill, which was named after her many falls on that slope. The advanced intermediates went off on a bit of a tour around the ski region ending with a race against time to get back before the lifts shut. None of the group fancied walking up the red slope...Mr Latter ended up falling off the t-bar, getting lost and going the wrong way all in one afternoon! Most of the group were pretty tired come the end of the day, but still managed to have the energy for a game of curling. Despite the cold everyone had fun!

Overall a cracking day for everyone, see you tomorrow :)
