Year 13s have stolen the blog!! Today started with a loud recital of Happy birthday to Corinna, who is 16 today!!! Happy birthday.
Noticeable events today
Beginners
Miss Boardman fell off the button lift after a mysterious and strangely invisible bird flew into her path upsetting her balance, causing the whole group to follow her into the 3 ft. snow. Adam Thurston managed to take out most of the group and some innocent Austrian kids whilst Rob Newth managed to collide with a vicious and highly psychotic ...... tree branch.
Intermediate
The birthday girl continued the day by deciding to go bowling. Unfortunately this was into the rest of her group hanging on the precipice of a steep red run. Tom Rhymes managed to defy gravity by sliding down half a slope backwards wobbling to and fro his head between his knees. Although his skiing backwards was epic the landing on his backside wasn't (censored for younger viewers of the blog). Michael Wray managed to survive all of the day without falling over once, except on the flat, stone restaurant floor, he skidded and fell flat on his face!!
Advanced
Our one and only student boarder Stefan managed to get dragged up the T-bar lift by his feet.
Teachers
Mr. Church after fifteen years of astonishing pro snowboarding fell over twice because he was "waiting for us to join him". Yeah right. (Every aspect of this statement is a gross exageration of the truth - Mr Church)
Everyone came back skiing after a very enjoyable day with many skiers conquering new and more challenging runs with a feeling of achievement, and after a a quick dinner and a lie about speedos we set off swimming to the not so local pool. It was a thermae spa which everyone had fun floating on various rubber rings.
Pictures and video to be posted next.
Gloucester Blocks coming up Wilhelm and George not sure they will allow you to swim in a rubber ring or anything else that floats! :D xx

ReplyDeleteYou need to be careful of that Adam, good at bowling but never been the ball before.

Aaron,
ReplyDeleteCiaran wants to know how his "bruver" is progressing with the Skiing so that he can keep your growing fan club at Air Balloon School informed :-)
